Simone Sestito

MSc Student / Research Fellowship Grantee

Sapienza, University of Rome

Hi! 👋 I’m Simone, currently a Master’s student in Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome, focusing my study plan on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I’m also working on a research scholarship until the end of September 2025, which allowed me to dive deep into the robustness of Large Language Models (LLMs); I’m expected to graduate on October of this same year.

My main research interests are in Adversarial Machine Learning, attacks and defenses on LLMs, and more broadly, Deep Learning and AI. I’m especially curious about how these systems can be made more secure and trustworthy.

Before diving into research, I started gaining experience as a Software Engineer, working on both mobile and backend development - something I’m now building into my main career path. I also explored NLP applications in freelance projects, building real solutions for business needs. My (outdated) portfolio is still online if you’re curious, in addition to all the projects and experiments published on my GitHub profile!

Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn - it’s the best way to reach out!
